The role will involve managing assignments, analysing evidence and investigating a broad range of accounting and auditing issues that are the subject of the dispute between the parties, in order to arrive at an independent, carefully considered expert view. Sometimes the issues are complex and technical, and require considerable judgement. An important aspect of the work is the ability to draft reports for use in court proceedings, mediations and for negotiating settlements between parties.

Each case requires a review of the material presented to identify the relevant issues and evidence. The individual will need to apply their knowledge of the standards and practice that apply to the matter in dispute, and using their experience, to arrive at a point of view which they will then defend robustly.

The individual will be a qualified accountant, ideally with some experience of forensic work within a major accountancy practice or from a specialist forensic firm. He or she will have experience of drafting reports and will be expected to assist with all aspects of the assignments. The group is expanding rapidly and will provide the right individual with an opportunity to progress.
