This role will primarily be responsible for providing independent review and approval of credit applications. You will be performing proactive risk management of transactional and portfolio activities together with pro-active participation in the formulation of Business strategies, setting risk appetite and new product development. This role will also require you to review and recommend Target Market (TM) and Risk Acceptance Criteria (RAC).
The main focus of this role:

Providing Independent review and approval of credits
Performing proactive risk management of transactional and portfolio activities
Pro-active participation in the formulation of Business strategies, setting risk appetite and new product development
Reviewing and recommending Target Market (TM) /Risk Acceptance Criteria (RAC)
Pro-active participation in prospects screening and performing customers calls
Ensuring that the Bank Credit Risk Management policies, standards, and practices are adhered to
Providing coaching and training for the Business areas

Qualifications

A minimum of eight years' of lending experience covering various types of credits spanning varied industries
An understanding of the effect of economic, social or political events on the quality of the credit portfolio
Solid experience in successfully managing complex and troubled credits
Full commitment to ensuring disciplined adherence to agreed portfolio strategies and target market philosophies
Ability to reach balanced credit decisions
The ability to work with all levels of Business and Credit Officers in a team approach and provide coaching and leadership to other less experienced officers
