Senior Valuation Surveyor

Our client is seeing a significant increase in the need for specific property valuation advice to our broad audit client base as well as support for the various strands of valuation advisory work.

As a Senior Valuation Surveyor, you will be responsible for executing entire projects, or certain parts of large projects, ensuring that they are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner for delivery to the end client.

You will have exposure to a wide range of clients and assignments including providing valuations support for audit purposes, dispute purposes, accounting (Purchase Price Allocations), restructuring, corporate finance and various other commercial purposes. As well as facilitating the growth of the internal market for property valuations for our client, you will have the opportunity to build the property valuations practice by pursuing external opportunities with clients.

Responsibilities:

* Understand and apply the firms risk management and client take-on procedures to all client assignments;
* Utilise various third party databases (e.g CoStar) to source appropriate valuation inputs;
* Perform research into comparable transactions;
* Produce written sections of the team deliverable (report / presentation);
* Liaise with clients to gather data and information relevant to projects;
* Carry out valuations for a variety of purposes including audit advisory, PPA, corporate finance, restructuring purposes;
* Identify and pursue business development and marketing opportunities with both existing and new clients;
* Provide broad real estate advise to a wide range of internal clients;
* Participate in networking events as well as sales and marketing activities and develop a network of professional and business contacts.

Requirements:

* MRICS qualification;
* Relevant work experience, ideally from another top advisory firm (chartered surveyors or accounting firms).
* Strong written, communication and analytical skills

Our client, a global consulting firm with circa 4000 employees and revenue of £500m globally, is seeking to recruit a talented Property Valuations Director to be based in their prestigious central London office.

Due to the continuing success and ambitious growth plans within the Business Valuation services and Real Estate Sector, our client is looking for a Chartered Valuation Surveyor to join its market leading Valuation Services and Real Estate teams.

We are looking for a senior individual to help support the teams in delivering a full range of property valuation services to complex clients and being responsible and contributing to the future management, growth and direction of the business.
The role provides an exceptional opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their technical, commercial and client relationship skills in a supportive and collaborative environment, working with colleagues who are recognised as experts in real estate and business valuations. The client base in real estate and valuations will provide you with a fantastic opportunity to work on a challenging and varied portfolio, delivering valuations for accounting or regulatory standards and for tax, litigation, family or commercial purposes both in the UK and internationally.

You will be responsible for dealing with all property valuation matters relating to the business valuation services and property valuations required for tax purposes. Recent changes to UK taxation will result in many of our clients requiring property valuations and rebasing in respect of their property portfolios.

We are seeking:

A Chartered Valuation Surveyor MRICS (or equivalent) with demonstrable post-qualified experience
Significant experience in carrying out commercial property valuations in accordance with the RICS Valuation Global Standard 2017 the "Red Book"
Ability to manage a substantial client portfolio profitably
Experienced in business development activities with new and/or existing clients
Experience of dealing with client senior management
Self-motivated with excellent communication
Experience of managing and developing junior staff
A commitment to technical and personal development, with the drive and ambition to progress and fulfil your full potential

You will be responsible for:

oManaging the developments and ensuring projects are completed on time, to budget and to the quality expected.

Corporate Finance M&A Associate Director

Our client, a leading Corporate Finance team, is looking for a talented and ambitious Corporate Finance Associate Director join their growing M&A team in Reading.

An Assistant Director is required to independently, and with the support of other Assistant Directors, Directors and Partners, develop and grow the Lead Advisory business within Corporate Finance, as well as develop the team members.

* Support management of the Lead Advisory and wider Corporate Finance team with other Assistant Directors, Directors and Partners.
* Lead the development of existing and new service stream methodologies.
* Manage M&A engagements, which include the resolution of project issues prior to Partner review.
* Build strong and sustainable relationship with clients, both internal and external, establishing both a rapport and trust.

You will have a good understanding of, and experience in, the field of corporate finance for both buy-side and sell-side work, involving public and private companies, owner-managed businesses and private equity houses.
