Our client is a globally recognised consultancy firm based in London, that is looking for exceptional candidates to join their economic and financial consultancy team.
As part of the team you will be involved in all types of disputes, including the measurement of financial remedies; in the context of transactions to buy and sell businesses, securities and commodities; in similar transactions in, or transactions to licence or otherwise exploit, intellectual property and other intangible assets; in decisions to price, invest, divest or restructure; in the economic assessment of performance; and in the setting of policy, or the assessment of its effects
Candidates will have strong analytical skills and be able to explain their work and communicate their conclusions and findings clearly, both orally and in writing. They must also have a keen eye for detail and the bigger picture. They must be an excellent problem solver who enjoys developing and applying bespoke approaches to solve complex, unstructured problems in a logical manner. The candidate must have a solid understanding of the principal concepts in valuation, accountancy, microeconomics and finance as well as good project management skills and experience in managing people and individual work streams.
The ideal candidate will be from a Big 4 or Top 10 accountancy firm, with first time passes in ACA. We would consider candidates with an audit, transaction services, forensics or valuations background. Candidates must have a first (2.1 or better) or higher degree from a university with a reputation for excellence in the subject in question.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and knowledge of other relevant analytical software such as Microsoft VBA or Access is desirable. Candidates will be familiar with sources and tools such as: Companies House; Bloomberg; the Markets/Capital IQ; Thomson Reuters.
