One of the largest independent equity research firms is hiring a Financial Modelling Analyst for its Modelling & Valuation team in London.
They provide research for institutional investors across European equity markets and dis renowned for its high quality service. They have offices in Europe and the US but still maintain their collaborative culture.
The team is responsible for ensuring the content of the research is both accurate and presentable to their investors and the successful candidate can expect to undertake the following key tasks:
* Performing audits on analyst's models, identifying errors (Excel logic, calculation, valuation, accounting
etc) and offering constructive feedback to the relevant analyst.
* Reviewing the numerical content of the models and research as well as day-to-day management of the
financials and models on the internal platform.
* Liaising with analysts from a number of sector teams on a regular basis, as well as the Editorial team.
* Providing support and training to non-ACA junior analysts.
This roles provides the perfect training opportunity for those wishing to develop their career as an Equity Research Analyst and past candidates who have joined the team have successfully made the move across to the Equity Research Team.
To be considered for the role, you will ideally be Degree level educated with an ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent. You will have a strong grasp of accounting fundamentals and of course, experience in financial modelling. You should have a very high attention to detail and the ability to analyse and critique a lot of information. As you will be responsible for providing constructive feedback to analysts you should also have excellent interpersonal skills.
