My client is a boutique consultancy firm located in Central London.
They have provided Business Intelligence services in over 90 countries. The practises covered include Enhanced Due Diligence, Background Checks, New Market Entry, Dispute Resolution and Fraud and Corruption Investigations.
They are looking to grow their team in order to meet the growing demand of their clients. The position offers fantastic room for career development and exposure to a wide variety of investigations.
The main focus of the role will be to provide strategic business intelligence services & Investigations in order to enable clients to make informed business decisions.
You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including drafting proposals, carrying out desktop research, identifying, tasking and managing sources, writing and editing reports and briefing clients. Client engagement will be a key aspect of this position.
You will report directly to the Head of Business Intelligence who will mentor you and enable you to develop your professional skills.
*Solid experience of conducting projects in the business intelligence sector and investigations and ability to demonstrate the skills to manage complex cases without supervision.
*Ability to write and edit reports to a very high standard.
*Work experience: three to five years' work experience in this field (whether as a core focus or as a secondary responsibility).
*To be able to write clearly, simply, imaginatively and compellingly.
*Commercial awareness: the ability to determine what matters to clients, both in terms of identifying business opportunities and selecting relevant material for reports.
*Analytical thinking: the ability to process a large volume of information quickly, to draw key points from the material and to produce intelligent analysis. This also means setting findings in context and drawing out implications for the client.
*High quality research skills: experience of using corporate and media databases.
*Strong interpersonal skills: the role will involve liaising closely with the business development team and other analysts, communicating with sources and dealing directly with clients.
*Flexibility and self-motivation: able to work independently and in a team and to identify business leads and pursue opportunities.
*Specialism and contact networks in a particular region could be an advantage.
*A good degree. This should be in an Arts subject, and a Masters is preferred.
*Fluency in at least one foreign language.
