Our client is a leading Top 20 accountancy firm who are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple bids and Business Development projects within a professional services firm.
The main responsibilities of the role include the co-ordination of tender documentation including responding to an RFP/ITT, the drafting of core text where appropriate, the co-ordination of tender teams and helping with final presentations. The role will also involve conducting business development research, helping identify targets, working on subsequent campaigns and involvement in other ad-hoc business development projects.
Assist in the creation and implementation of business and client relationship plans.
Work with partners to develop key messages for their practice areas and groups.
Act as the account manager for key clients of the practice groups and carry out feedback on these clients to continuously.
Manage key tender and panel opportunities, working with the partners to enhance content.
Take responsibility for spotting cross-selling opportunities across practices areas/the firm.
Work with the events team and BD executive to produce and deliver outstanding client events.
Understand and monitor changes in the market for the agreed practice group, legal industry and top competitors.
Line manage and be responsible for the mentoring of the BD executive.
Strong business development experience is a necessity.
The successful candidate must have experience of managing multiple bids and BD projects within a professional services firm, in addition to being able to influence and challenge partners.
Naturally, you will be confident communicator, being a team player who is able to develop important relationships. You will demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, also showing analytical ability
