Corporate Intelligence Analyst - Greater China Specialist
Location: London (Hybrid)

About the Role:
* Our client supports organisations in identifying and managing reputational, regulatory, and commercial risks. This includes complex investigations into fraud, bribery, corruption, financial crime, and broader integrity issues. As an analyst, you will play a critical role in researching individuals and companies to uncover hidden risks and help clients make informed, risk-aware decisions.
* You will be involved in a range of projects including bespoke due diligence, third-party risk management, asset tracing, litigation support, and strategic intelligence work such as market-entry analysis and country risk assessments. This is a client-facing role in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct high-quality desktop research in Simplified Chinese and other relevant languages, using public sources, corporate registries, media, litigation records, and specialist databases.
* Retrieve and analyse corporate, legal, regulatory, and reputational data across China and the wider APAC region.
* Draft clear, concise, and actionable intelligence reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
* Source public records from offline/manual channels, including coordinating with third-party researchers where necessary.
* Contribute to business development activities, including preparing proposals and participating in marketing initiatives.
* Provide geopolitical and business risk insights into Greater China and Asia-Pacific markets.
* Maintain detailed documentation and audit trails for findings to support reporting integrity and transparency.
What You'll Bring:
* Strong academic qualifications (ideally in international relations, politics, languages, or other social sciences).
* Native or fluent Mandarin speaker with excellent English communication skills-both written and verbal.
* Demonstrable knowledge of political, regulatory and commercial dynamics in the Greater China region.
* Proven research and investigative experience, preferably in market intelligence, political risk, compliance, or a related area.
* Ability to work under pressure, juggle competing deadlines, and deliver to exacting standards.
* Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and excellent attention to detail.
* Comfortable working discreetly with confidential and sensitive information.
* Additional language skills (e.g. Russian, German, Arabic, Dutch, Italian) are a plus.
