Overview

Looking for an experienced accountant with an interest in financial reporting and auditing. The client is a leading technical-Support and training organisation. The client areas include audit and assurance, financial reporting and practice procedures. They maintain a wide client range from members of the Accountancy Age to sole practitioners. They pride themselves on offering their clients a truly personal service.

Role:
The role is mainly client facing, however there is opportunity to work from work.
Main responsibilities will include.

*With audit and non-audit files, you will help provide engagement quality control and quality control reviews.
*You will also provide feedback to clients and prepare detailed reports.
*Advising clients on our technical helpline covering UK GAAP and IFRD: Auditing standards, Ethical issues, Company Law and specialist areas- including Charities, Pensions, etc)
*Contributing to technical manuals and audit Methodology.

Other responsibilities may include: (Depending on experience)
*Conducting Practice Assurance Compliance Reviews
*Providing other consultancy services as necessary and as skills develop.
*Presenting on CPD Programme

Person Specification:
Looking for a candidate who has experience in the following areas
*Have a strong audit background at a manger or senior manager level with a range of audit clients
*Possess an excellent understanding of current financial reporting (primarily FRS 102 although exposure to IFRS and / Or specialist clients is preferred and audit requirements
*Have or be eligible to obtain a practicing Certificate with a CCAB body
*Have excellent inter - personal skills and be comfortable explaining complex concepts to clients with varying backgrounds and levels
*Be able to identify key audit issues and balancing practical and commercial considerations.
